Which map is your favorite and what areas of it do you enjoy most?

Meta Station
Departures hallway and departures itself is the stand out part.
Everything else is great too except for cargo which got done dirty by a remap however many years ago
Icebox, I enjoy the planet setting. Wish tere were more, including the meta lavaland station that I hear about but never rolls.
I like meta and delta a lot because of the lack of z-levels. Icebox does z-levels well but not being in space sucks (ywn fix the atmos if it leaks)
tram is boring and the new ones are whatever. i dont like the "look 2/3 of the station is derelict uninhabited maint" gimmick Zzzzz
Unironically Birdshot for its very vulnerable design. Meta, Delta, Tram are all waaaaay too safe and fortress-like which stifles creative antagging.
Deltastation is my favourite map. I really like Lia. More maps should have Lia. I especially like the part where it only has one Z level.
what are your least favorite maps (WAWA, NEBULA, CATSHIT)
meta/delta/box because they have maintenance that actually connects departments and a central loop that makes sense
I dont really have a favorite but i certainly have a least favorite.... catwalk... wawa is also not very good. If I had to pick a favorite it maybe is nebula, I like the atmosphere.
Icemap is unique, while holding onto the advantages of old map designs, like optimized, meaningful maint layout (sweeping maint is straightforward and you can conceivably catch people on the run in there). New mappers struggle to not room creep their maps into a pointless labyrinth, or even "get" why the old maps are laid out as they are, so simply rethinking an existing map layout in such a fresh, unique way was a 10/10 idea.

Box station is the best, nothing can beat it.
I think i enjoy Tramstation the most, because of its simple yet effective multi-z-level gimmick (mostly more enjoyable because of the tram itself) and the clever approach to prison, albeit i detest the SM setup on that map, yuck

Delta and Meta Good layout single Z lvl in space like blance of so much shit intented map to be multizlayers maps in asteroids or on plants break it so bad. explosives are so much more worthless there than in delta or meta for example cuz on like catwalk its all asteroid floor that is immune to damage so litle pressure damage anti fun map design to make noting ever happens

My favorite map isn't on this server, it was a single Z-layer box station out in space instead of icebox. Delta is good here, I think it's good enough for every department that most people can be happy with it. I miss the Northstar medbay, but metastation's medbay is good too. I like customizing the medbay a bit if I'm alone as a paramed, and having a wide, symmetrical shape to work with is nice.
Tramstation is best because of the tram. I also like boxstation because of the medbay

Birdshot's engine room was dope.
Icebox is dope because it's on a planet (same with the Rainstation maps).
Tram has great modular sections and we need to utilize that sort of thing more.

Meta, delta, wawa..
Why ? All of them can be considered 1 z level maps, while wawa not entirely, but the good in wawa is that it does not force you this z level bullshit.
All of them have circular and logical maints, easy to play, have a nice departmental relationships.
Icebox is fine too, but it's laggier than other maps, the outer space is kinda empty, and gets boring over time.
Catwalk nebula and tram are HORRIBLE maps.
Especially catwalk, the map is fucked up, maints are 3/4 of the station, departaments are boring, the whole map is fucking boring, the gimmick of the map is shit.
catwalk is just a Northstar station 2, annoying as hell.
Please delete catwalk and bring back normal map voting system, stop forcing people to play shit maps with weighted voting system.
tram Station,The tram and multilevel maints are very well done
Metastation is my favorite, I remember when it was introduced as an upgrade to old box and it was made to be better, more expansive, not based on a gimmick but on convenience, the point was to create a map that felt good to play and also to expand the maints compared to box.
I like the maints bar and the regular bar, and I enjoy the medbay, it's not really about being blown away by the map and its gimmick but more about the map being unintrusive on your gameplay and having things where you expect them. Nothing is missing, there's plenty of space, it's solid overall. I like the cargo bay too and had lots of good memories chilling in engi foyer back when I played engi.
I can't have my shift ruined by a map gimmick if there is no gimmick
Tram. I may die to it a lot but.. well no but, I just like it.
Delta. I like its maintenance because it's simple, cyclical (no dead ends), and soul-warming.
metastation and the whole bar/service area it has. on some maps bar is hidden way in the back somewhere, on meta you pass the bar often

Meta/delta. They dont rely on cheap bullshit like tram and ice, they arent a maze like nebula and catwalk.
I like deltastation best, my personal picks for best area would be Atmos, it has ample space to do many different projects, as well as the bar area, it's openness is cool.
MetaStation simply because it is easy to navigate and there's a good amount of space dedicated to every role. If I just want to play pure SS13 with no additional meme gimmicks, I will always be preferring MetaStation.
I don't really have a "favorite" map, they're all good. Some areas I like are:

Icebox security
AI upload being on sat in delta

I like catwalk a lot, because it having really neat detailed areas in maints that arent just metal boxes and are more like a weird undercity makes my assistant goblin brain happy.
In terms of actual mapping, I adore meta's engineering wing. Plenty of space for pipes, and the sm is quick to set up.
I'd say Nebulastation. I really like how pretty everything looks there with all the foliage and small extra details everywhere. Out of all the areas there i would say i like engineering the most, plus they get a space pool there.
The world atlas is probably my favourite map, i really like looking at the different countries and continents. These are probably the parts i like the most.

This is sort of tough. Toss up Meta and Delta since I'm a basic bitch. I think I prefer non z-level maps. I also prefer actual SPACE Stations. For the areas I like, I enjoy Metas security and med, and I prefer their bar/cafeteria to Deltas I imagine. Delta has a nice sort of dorm/civilian area.
I know this wasn't asked, but if I had a DISLIKED area, I'd maybe say Deltas security? No particular reason, I just don't like it. Sort of reminds me of Birdshots security. Otherwise, no real thoughts here or there.
..remove Icebox and replace it with normal Box by the way.
My favorite map is the Metastation. I love it's atmospherics.
My favorite map is Icebox, mostly because I enjoy the ambiance and how different it is from every other map. Beyond that though, I enjoyed the layout for the bar and kitchen when they used to be separated. As in, when the bar and stage were both on the lower floor and the kitchen had its own area. I like the ordnance area mainly because of the balcony and how you can see the lower area from there. The openness of medical's treatment center is also nice.

i like icemoon and gravity, breaches are actually threatening and i just think chilly places are cool and atmospheric, i also really like cargo
I'd say Tramstation is a personal favorite. Obviously, I love accidentally getting run over by the tram for both roleplay and to add some spice to my round, not to mention seeing others get hit by it at comedically ideal moments. It's the main reason I choose it all the time. Plus, it's a multi-z-level map, which is nifty. Otherwise, I like the layout of Science there I guess. And the many places in maintenance to explore, but that's more of a general enjoyment than a Tram-only thing.

Nebula, my favorite place on it has to be the bar and kitchen though i never find time to use them.
I LOVE Deltastation. Especially the maintenance. You can build a second station in there, there's so many rooms to turn into gimmicks. I LOVE maintenance!!!!!!!

Works well, doesn't get completely unplayable if one section gets spaced and department rooms are neither too cramped or too big.
